A CBT therapist specialising in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT)

I am here to listen to your story. I help individual's overcome anxiety (health, social, OCD, GAD), build self-confidence, improve low mood and deal with stress/burnout. I can help you identify unhelpful thinking patterns, teach you how to challenge this thinking, and work with you to learn better coping skills enabling you to deal with current struggles.

Trying to navigate life in these uncertain times can be difficult. Are you are feeling anxious or uncertain about the future right now? Do you feel a bit stuck or fed up? Is self-criticism the internal talk you are most familiar with? Maybe feeling ashamed of past life experiences is stopping you from moving on and living in the present. The demands of modern life are often very fast-paced and sometimes we need additional help to stay true to who we are and what we would like from life. Therapy offers you an opportunity to work on reducing unnecessary stress so you can feel more content and less troubled.

REBT therapy is grounded in the idea that people generally want to do well in life, however, sometimes irrational or unhelpful thinking can get in the way and stop us from achieving our goals. With this in mind, REBT is a practical and action-orientated approach to dealing with cognitive, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

As you learn new techniques to help you work through any distress you may have, you will find ways of being able to do more of the things you like. Training, qualifications & experience:
• An Accredited Counsellor (MNCS Accred.) with the National Counselling Society (NCS), specialising in Rational Emotive • • Behaviour Therapy (REBT), one of the oldest forms of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).
• Advanced Diploma in Integrative CBT/REBT
• Advanced Diploma in CBT/REBT
• Diploma in CBT/REBT
• BSc Psychology

I hold a current Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate (DBS).

In addition to my qualifications, I am committed to continued personal and professional development (CPD) and regularly attend workshops and courses to continually bring enrichment to my practice.

As an AnxietyUK Approved Therapist, I also provide therapeutic support to the charity’s members. AnxietyUK regularly monitors my professional qualifications including professional memberships and insurances, supervision, CPD as well as ensuring I comply with the ethical framework and professional standards set out by my governing body.

I also work with Cruse Bereavement as a Bereavement Support Volunteer.
